The Atomic Man aka Timeslip (1955)

Moving on with our "Atomic" movies, this is a cult movie with an interesting premise.
A scientist is found floating in a river, shot in the back and surrounded by a radioactive halo.
Due to an accident, the scientist can see seven and a half seconds into the future.
Before he can take the next logical step and fly to Las Vegas, he is kidnapped by crooks who plan to use him for their criminal schemes.
Why didn't he see that coming?

It was known in England as Timeslip and shown in the US under the more "colorful" title The Atomic Man.

The plot kind of makes me think of "Next" with Nicolas Cage.
But Cage could see a full two minutes into the future.

Not to be confused with the GI Joe Adventure Team member, Mike Power the Atomic Man.

I couldn't find a link to watch it online.
If you run across one, let me know.

Monstrosity / The Atomic Brain (1964)

Monstrosity is a 1964 cult film directed by Joseph V. Mascelli.
It is better known under its alternate title, The Atomic Brain.
At least this is the title used when they worked it over on Mystery Science Theater 3000.
The plot involves an elderly rich woman that uses her money to convince a brilliant (but eccentric) scientist to transfer her brain into a new, beautiful body.
Hilarity ensues.
Okay, not really hilarity, it's supposed to be serious.

The director Joseph V. Mascelli, was the director of photography on another 1964 cult movie, "The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies!!?".
In 1964 he also directed "The Thrill Killers".
The people that wrote this were Dean Dillman Jr. and Sue Dwiggins.
Incredibly, this was Dean's only film.
However, Sue went on to be the production secretary on films like The French Connection, Deliverance, Slap Shot (one of my favorite films), and she was the production coordinator for E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial.

Atom Age Vampire (1963)

Atom Age Vampire is a 1963 black-and-white Italian horror-science fiction film that was directed by Anton Giulio Majano and starred Alberto Lupo.
The original title was Seddok, l'erede di Satana, mainly because it was made in Italy.
And despite the title, there is no real vampire in the movie.
Well the murders in the movie do resemble a vampire killing...well you need to see it to get what I'm talking about.

Anyway, when stripper Jeannette Morineau (Suzanne Loret) is horribly disfigured in a car accident, a scientist, Prof. Alberto Levin (Alberto Lupo) develops a treatment which can restore her beauty by injecting her with a special serum.
While performing the procedure, he falls in love with her.
As the treatment begins to fail, he determines to save her appearance, regardless of how many women he must kill for her sake.

This is one of the cult films that is in public domain, and lucky you, you can watch it free of charge online at Google video.
