Wow, this IS a cult movie.
It's one of those movies I remember hearing about long before I saw it.
The film itself is only 105 minutes long, but it made quite an impact.
And even though they say its "Banned in 40 Countries", it's only actually banned in New Zealand, Australia, Norway and Finland.
But hey, it IS actually banned in those countries.
Even though the film's budget was $450,000, it has grossed over $35 million worldwide in theatrical releases, and that's not including rentals.
Several Faces of Death sequels were made, each a little worse than the one before it. As a matter of fact, Faces of Death 5 and 6 are just highlights from the first four films!
A DVD version of the movie has been released, and also a Blu-Ray disc was released on October 7, 2008.
And there has been talk of a new version of the film.
I don't think they'll be able to get away with it now though.
If youre really interested you can go to http://tafkac.org/movies/faces_of_death_review.html, they have a scene by scene description, with criticism.
It will save you some time hopefully.
