Superstar: The Karen Carpenter Story

Unusual movie.
And even more unusual to me that it's reached cult status.
Coming in with a running time of 43 minutes, Superstar: The Karen Carpenter Story could have be an episode of VH1's Behind The Music now.
This black and white film covers the life of Karen Carpenter from the time of her discovery in 1966 to her death by cardiac arrest.
What sets this film apart (and probably puts it in cult film territory) is that instead of actors, almost all parts were played by modified Barbie dolls.
Due to a lawsuit by Richard Carpenter, all copies of the film were to have been recalled and destroyed.
But several bootleg copies of the film survive and can be seen online.
